*** Salty Dawgs Attend the George Myers Memorial Poker Run 13 Sept 09
What a beautiful day for a ride and to remember a fellow brother who has passed. The ride went well and lots of friends and brothers / sisters showed up to show respect and honor the man they called their friend. Between the VFW, poker run and Salty Dawgs we managed a tidy sum that was presented to Pam. For more photos of the ride check the pictures page. There will be more coming soon also.

Dawgs went out to support the Brothers In Arms on their annual Ride for Warriors poker run on 29 Aug 09. It was great to see the guys/gals from Brothers in Arms, it was also great to be out and about with our follow brothers and sisters. George accepts his Life Member Patch from Gearhead. This is a special honor for the Salty Dawgs as George and Pam are big supporters of the club. Have contributed much to the local motorcycle clubs and organizations. Congratulations.
*** *** Dawgs on Patrol - 10 Jan 09
First big ride of the year. The Dawgs started out at Chartway in Virginia Beach and headed south, then North ended up near Merchants Square and then back for over two hundred miles. Wizard was able to see how far he could go on a tank of gas. Important safety note the “R” on the valve means reserve. Once again, good friends a safe ride and good times had by all. *** Salty Dawgs 2nd Annual Poker Run 7 June 08
Our second Annual Charity event for the Fisher House was a major success. We would like to thank all those that came out and supported the Salty Dawgs during their poker run. It was a good run of close to 100 miles, we had lots of sunshine and heat, temperatures made it into the 100’s. We had good eats, plenty of door prizes, auction items and no limit on the fun everyone was having. We raise bunch of money for the Fisher House, made new friends and look forward to our next event. A special thanks to all the Dawgs that help put this together.

Salty Dawgs attended this annual event. There was a stop over at Popeye's and the Dawgs thank you for having us. Then the next day was the parade, a great time.

*** USO 9 March 2008 Event
Salty Dawgs went in force to support the local USO. It was a short ride and we all ended up at Knuckleheads for some drinks and some pool. This is a good cause and Salty Dawgs was honored to be part of the ride.

*** PGR Navy Home Coming 27 Jan 2008
This was a special event, not only because we welcomed home our heroes defending our way of life. But to say goodbye to an old friend who served our country for more than 42 years. This was the last home coming for the USS Ponce the home of the Proud Lions. It was a bitter sweet event welcoming home our sailors and one of our own Salty Dawgs “Boats” from a six month deployment and then saying goodbye to a ship that has done her fair share of defending our country.
